Highlights: A journal article from The Physics Teacher describing a framework for integrating energy and equity developed by the energy and equity team.
Summary: In an effort to align scholarship on equity in science education with teachers’ actions to integrate equity into their physics teaching, we developed a framework that can support teachers and teacher-educators to organize their efforts and stretch their thinking. This paper describes the five aspects of the framework, 1) Access, 2) Achievement, 3) Identity, 4) Power, and 5) Justice and gives examples of how teachers used this framework in their teaching. This resource contains a pdf of the article, a link to the journal website, and a link to a 4-minute YouTube video summarizing the framework.
